Presentation of Ida.
Plumeria (Ida) was Alice first born daughter, the heaviest with a
weight of 420 grams abd it took a while for Alice to give birth to
her. The rest of the delievery was easy when the first, large puppy
was out.
Plumeria did not distinguish more than the others, she loved the
food and was lively just like the other siblings. After a week, we
have decided what should be the puppies official names. We chose the
names based on flower arrangements, Leis, which you carry at all
major significant events on the Hawaii Islands. They symbolize love,
appreciation and respect and will bring luck to those who wear them.
The first born puppy had a broad half collar resembled those made of
the beautiful and perfumed flower Plumeria.
Early one morning at the age of 12 days, Plumeria opened her eyes as
the first one. She looked at her mum at touched her with the little
paw just to get to know her. During the day and evening all the
puppies have opened their eyes and at about 19 o'clock something
quite special happened. They all started to sort of walk in the
puppy box, giving noice and became very lively. Maybe they was happy
to see each other? At first Alice was quite amazed, just standing
following the puppies with her eyes. She didn't really know how to
handle that her puppies as if by magic, started to rush around her
legs to play with each other. It was incredidly sweet and touching
experience.
The puppies grew rapidly and Plumeria was as happy, playful and
forward as her brother and sisters. It was a uniform nest when it
came to weight and developement and they were was extremely similar
except for their white characters, collars!
Not until the day the puppies were vaccinated, eye analyzed and
inspected, we decided which one of the puppies who would stay with
us. It was a difficult choice, they were so similar both in
temperamentet and appearance.
We had thoughts of keeping Alice only son, White Ginger, as she
herself was very fond of, but realized that it would not work with
three males in the pack. Stina on Kennel's Angeleye wanted him and
we decided that we could own him together, but that he will live
with her where he becomes the sole king of the kennel!
Plumeria was most like White Ginger in attitude, appearance and
expression, so we decided it had to be our girl. Per suggested the
name Ida, a sweet and rowdy little summer girl and we sang Idas song
for her!
Ida has developed well over the years. She is so happy and lively, a
funny girl. She is curious about everything and wants to be ahead at
any price. She likes to rush up - run fast, she jumps high and far,
just like her mom, Alice. grindar och lyckas hon inte där gör hon
sig platt som en pannkaka och kryper eller gräver sig ut i friheten!
Unfortunately she climbs over our fences and gates or even dig
herself under the same one. She wants to be where something happens!
She loves food, eating everything she can find outside. With good
appetite ate a lot of disgusting things as cadavers, voles, and
droppings from both animals and people. Her siblings are exactly
alike, their owners says!
Ida is very social and fearless. When she was 7 months old we took
her to My Dog, a large dog show in Gothenburg, and she just walked
straight in with self-confidence and thought it was tremendous fun.
Not the slightest concerned over the noisy environment with
escalators, elevators, slippery checkered floors and other things
that she never before experienced! Wherever we take her, she finds
it ok.
At the age of 3 years Ida has a weight of approximately 22 kg
and a height of 54 cm. She has had her hips x-rayed with the best
result, HD A and elbows 0. Her eyes are examined as an adult with no
marks ( had slightly CRD as puppy). The whole litter has HD A and ED
0. The whole litter are also free on theirs eyes as adult.
She has done mental description with bravura, no residual fears and
completely shot proof.
Working and obedience:
We excercise/train Ida in tracking and she has also done a
little of messenger dog training. So far only short distances.
In 2009 we have begun with blood trackning. Ida Was in August 2009
Swedish Champion in Bloodtrackning!
I have made a separate page where there are pictures of her doing
the working dog training.
Shows:
Ida is a beautiful young female who has got excellent judgement
from several judges. She has a good body, medium size, height about
54 cm, good anatomy with very good movement, beautiful head and
expression. She can sometimes get comments about her, a little high,
tail but that's her offer. She needs to show attitude and confidence!
We have shown Ida in junior- and youthclass, openclass and she has got:
Sweden; 3x CAC, 1 CACIB, 2 R-CACIB, 9 x CK, 2x BOB, 1x BOS, 3x 2 BTK,
2x 3BT, 2x HP, in CAC BCS
- VG,
Norway; 1 CK,
Danmark: 2 x Excellent
MH (Mental description):
At the 19th of October 2008 Ida went through MH together with
her four siblings. Everyone worked through the track without
residual fears and ended the description by playing at least as
intense as in the start, and was shot proof. None of them had put on
some memories. Four of them got "1" (the best) in gun shot and one
got "3".
We also noted that the five siblings do not for a moment thought
badly of floors and surfaces. They all visited our house as well as
the neighbour's house with shiny parquet, clinkers, marble floors
and open stairs.
