7 juni 2009. Skyelice
Arctic Explorer Henson "Kashmir" 8 veckor.

Ida 8 weeks.

Ida two years, September 20 2009
I am, after 35 years in banking,
a happy early retired. Now I can one hundred percent devote myself to
what I feel closest to my heart - the dogs and to photograph, write and
design among others, our websites.
Has a great interest in photography and writing. It started when I was
fifteen years old and bought my first camera. I dreamed of educating to
a journalist and photographer. But fate wanted something else and
finally I became a bank manager, a profession far from what I had dreamt
of. I kept alive my creative needs as a hobby and now, as an agreement
pensioner, I can realize some of my dreams.
I have traveled around the world and made a lot of photos, nowadays I
make mostly digital pictures with dogs included. From my/our travels, I
have slides which I begun scan to my computer. In the future it will be published
on a gallery. All those
photos for the travel book were made with a super camera - Leica, but
unfortunately this professional camera is now a collector's item!
My latest investment, in January 2008, is a Nikon D300 with AF-S Nikkor
17-55 mm 1:2,8 G ED and AF Nikkor 85 mm 1:1.8 D.This is a great camera for an amateur, enormous
speed with a very bright lens. I can even use the zoom AF-S Nikkor 70 -
300mm, 1:4,5 - 5,6 G IF ED VR, which I bought earlier. It is great fun
to take quick photos "in action".
I take most of the pictures in the RAW format and do some image
processing in Photoshop.
In time for Alice giving birth to her puppies I even bought a camcorder.
I chose a JVC with hard disc.
My interest in dogs has gradually
increased over the years. I enjoy very much our dogs, to see them run
over the fields with quick flexible movements. To watch their beauty and
joy. It is soothing to spend time together at home where they are social
and nice. They are absolutely wonderful life companions who love a chat.
Another dream has been to have the opportunity to breed a litter. I have
for several years trying to learn as much as possible. Read a lot of
books on the subject, studying dogs and their pedigrees, their mentality
and anatomy. I have several friends who are breeders and skilled animal
keepers who will be happy to answer all my questions.
In June 2007 this dream was fulfilled . Alice gave birth to 5 wonderful
puppies. It was a wonderful experience to follow Alice pregnancy, their
birth as well as live together and see the puppies development. I shed a
few tears when the puppies left us, but as someone said, if you don't
you haven't had enough engagement. One of the puppies have stayed with
us, little Ida, and the boy in the litter, we have shared "custody" of.
Sydney lives with Alice breeder, kennel Angeleye's, at Öland. All
puppies have very nice families that we have good contact with. The
family has been extended to our great joy!
In April 8 2009 I became a dog grandmother again. Alice gave birth
to her second litter in a great drama. It became urgent caesarean
section on 59th day and two wonderful vitality boys survived this
adventure. Perry, blue merle boy, lives with her older sister
Bellis. The other little "survivor" moved to his father Orlando in
Denmark.
Skyelice Arctic Explorer Peary "Perry", 4 months, at his first
dogshow.

I think it's fun to go to
dog shows and have had great success with Alice. I've trained Alice to
show her beautiful movements and to stand and present herself with
elegance. Now I have also started with Ida who developed to a beauty and
at two years old has had as much success as her mother Alice.
A few successful trips to Norway, we have also had time for. On the
agenda we even want to go to Denmark and Finland now when we have
completed the vaccination of our dogs.
I also have a real interest in dog behavior and mentality,
and is
involved in The "RUS" (breed development section) Group in Götene BK. In
autumn 2001, I was educated be on duty as an A-decoy of Mental
descriptions and Mental Tests.
During the autumn 2004, I started my education to general obedience
instructor. The 25th of February 2006 I got my examination and Josef and
I were very well accepted in general obedience training!
I am active in our Working Dog Club, where I participate in courses, and
exercise with Josef, Alice and Ida in obedience, tracking, messenger
dog, searching for objects, and a little agility. In autumn 2008, I
passed a course in clickertraining, which I think is funny!
Ida, Skyelice A Plumeria Lei, and I started in April
2009 to join a course in boodtracking, five
evenings. After that we did the first test, called "anlagstest" in June
1. Our first test in open class was in June 16. Then we didn't work
during July. A week before the regular test in August 8, we
trained a long track with blood. In August 8 we got the second 1th
price and now 5 days later, she worked well and approved the last 1th
price and will be Swedish Champion in bloodtracking!
My commitment is also for the Swedish Collie Club, where we take part in
their training camp and other nice events.

January 2010.

I got my first miniature poodle, Sussie, when I was
10 years old. When I met Gudrun I became master("dad") of our wonderful
dog Brasse. He had been a good material to do the working program and
obedience, but at that time I didn't know anything about the subject. It
was when I went to Götene Brukshundklubb with Gordon as a puppy my
interest in working with the dog was awaken.
We continued our training, and by and by we went to working trials.
First with Gordon, later on with Josef, a son of Gordon. My main
interests has been the working trials, which I find most fun.
Gordon was my first dog to exercise and compete with, and of course, I
made a lot of mistakes (which I hopefully have learnt a lot from doing).
It was a lovely dog to work with and we have succeeded so well that we
have been promoted (advancing) to higher(upper) class tracking!
After Gordon, Joseph was the next one, fun to work with, a real
irresponsible youngster, learnt quickly and on the go! He is a cool guy,
at down stay with gunshots he lays down as a the lion king. Within only
three trials even Josef was promoted (advanced) to higher (upper) class
nordic tracking. He goes by the name of the lion king, at the club, but mostly because of
his bushy mane! Now Josef is retired, will be 11 years in June 2010.
Then it was Alice I devoted my time to. In my opinion she
has very good qualities and is great to work with. She is a "star" when
it comes to tracking, messenger dog and searching for objects. We have
taken part in some working trials and in September 2008 Alice and I was
promoted to (advancing to) higher (upper) class nordic tracking. To
Gudruns great delight, who successfully took her to dog shows, Alice
became Swedish Show Champion. Successful teamwork!
During the autumn /winter 2009/2010 I started to train with Ida.
Hopefully we can compete in first class tracking before she gets
her first litter.
We practive in very positive terms, have started "clicker" training
witch fits Alice and Ida very good. They are "clicker wise" and offers a lot of
behaviours.
I am a trained B-instructor and a decoy for mental tests (MT) and mental
descriptions (MH) and a member of the RUS group within Götene BK.
I have a great interest in dog behaviour and mentality and want to learn
more about the subject.
My dilemma is that I have a demanding profession. As technical director
in a large processing industry, Frebaco Kvarn AB, it takes much time and
energy. At the same time, the dog traing and being outdoor in the woods
and fields, gives relaxation and new vitality.
Our puppy buyers are welcome to call me for discussion about any
problems or concerns related to the puppy or the dog. I will be happy to
help as far as possible.
